Multi-roof Custom Solar Array

Innovative solar photovoltaic system

The owners of this home near Indiana University lowered their electric bill with a custom solar array installed across five roof locations.

It’s a 6.75  kW system delivered by 27 modular panels. The high-quality photovoltaic panels are mounted on top of new 30-year shingles. It ties into the electric company’s utility grid, storing their sun-generated power and running the meter backwards on sunny days.

We remodeled a portion of the home, re-roofed and repaired some roof decking, and finished the solar panel installation just hours before a snowstorm blanketed Central Indiana.
